Ampersand: Collaborative Strength

About the Ampersand Stable of Advocates

The members of Ampersand have, as a group, been practising at the Scottish Bar since 1981; it's only the name that's new. Since 1981 we have built a reputation based on independence of mind, professionalism and collegiate practice, delivered respectfully.

We recognise the importance of providing a service that meets the needs of our clients. Our clerks are committed to dealing with your inquiries in an efficient manner and according to your requirements. To that end, we encourage feedback about any aspect of our work or service.

This combination of independence of mind, excellence in service and a strong belief in the power of teamwork has led to Ampersand being regarded by many as the Civil Law Stable of Choice in Scotland.

Our aim remains to be the Civil Law Stable of Choice in Scotland. That means continuing to invest in our relationships with those with whom we work and in our clerking team to ensure we continue to provide unprecedented levels of service.

How to instruct Ampersand Advocates

If you are a solicitor in Scotland or an approved agent, you can instruct our Advocates directly. To do this, you can choose to get in touch with our clerks or, if you prefer, you can instruct our members direct.

If you are a member of the public and would like one of our members to act on your behalf, simply contact your solicitor. If you do not have a solicitor, contact the Law Society of Scotland for advice.
