Summary
Isla Davie's practice covers a range of commercial, professional negligence and reparation disputes. She is regularly instructed on behalf of insurers, public bodies, professional bodies and individuals. She gives seminars on property law and is currently co-writing a book on commercial litigation for W Green & Sons.
Experience
Isla Davie studied law at Edinburgh and Paris-Sud. She joined the Bar after seven years experience as a solicitor with McGrigors and Davidson Chalmers LLP. She practices in civil law, being regularly instructed in interdicts, debates and proofs. Isla appears mainly in the Court of Session but also the Sheriff Court, Land Court and tribunals.

- Altradius Credit Insurance NV v Whyte and Mackay Ltd [2005] CSOH 23 -commercial insurance action
- Reference by Scottish Ministers - Application of Pairc Trust section 81 Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2005 -representing crofters in first application to Land Court in crofting community right to buy case.
- Miller v Greater Glasgow Health Board -one of first MRSA cases on behalf of defenders
