Ampersand Clerks

Our clerks are the first port of call for most inquiries and provide a crucial link between you and our Advocates. Our clerking team of four is headed by Alan Moffat, our Clerk and Practice Manager. Alan’s team is noted for its bright and friendly approach. Their aim is to always make it a pleasure when working with Ampersand.

We recognise the increasing pressure that you work under and so our clerks are driven by your needs and deadlines. All members of our clerking team are qualified to discuss all aspects of instructing our members including making recommendations for the most appropriate Counsel, advising on their availability, agreeing timescales, providing fee estimates and agreeing costs and assisting in getting instructions to Counsel. Importantly, that does not mean recommending only Ampersand members where a more appropriate Advocate might be available from outside of Ampersand. We think that is what a commitment to excellence means.
